Counting beans
Is just one means
Of measuring a harvest
But it doesn’t show
The tales of woe
Of those whose work is hardest
A CEO
Makes profits grow
Some view him as a leader
And then he hawks
His leveraged stocks
Hard to imagine greedier
Perhaps it’s time
To realign
The relative contribution
Of cooks and clerks
Who do the work
With wage redistribution
Raise their pays
So they have ways
Of meeting monthly bills
Improving health
With all this wealth
Taking care of ills
Then we can say
On that fine day
Our economic power
Has led us to
A finer view
Of America’s finest hour
