Corvallis Rap

Here are my thoughts. I’ve organized them
In hopes someone will super size them
North town, south town, east town, west
Just what will make Corvallis best?

Let’s start with campus, I’d like to spark
Discussion of a garaging park
Where OSU people can leave vehicles
To ease up local parking pickles

And let’s stop all this cat and mousing
By creating affordable family housing
You know, some places – not bare bones
That people can buy with affordable loans

And while we’re at it, here is some guidance
Regarding keeping downtown’s vibrance
Books and pubs and grubs for eaters
Coffee and clothing and old time theaters
And one thing we should not forget
Dear God almighty, let’s keep Robnetts

When it comes to dollars, please don’t be stingy
By finding bucks to support DaVinci
And other ideas of similar kinds
To stimulate the youngsters’ minds

Support the schools with science and math
And keep on adding more bike paths
The main thing about which I get vocal
Is striving hard to keep things local

Here’s one last thought for our oasis
To keep so many smiling faces
And stay top 10 in livable places
We must preserve the open spaces
