Before our great
Democracy falls
Here are some commandments
For the walls
I. Let your mind be open
Always thence
To let you adjust
To new evidence
II. Strive to understand
What’s most likely true
Unbiased by
Any wish of you
III. Scientific knowledge
Is to you unfurled
As the means to understand
The natural world
IV. Always respect
That good or naughty
Everyone has the right
To control their body
V. People good
We should applaud
Irrespective of
Their choice of god
VI. Be mindful of outcomes
Of all your acts
And be responsible for
Their impacts
VII. Be to everyone
You see
As you would have
Them to you be
VIII. Be careful in
The things you do
To make it easier
For those following you
IX. With other people
You should not fight
There are many ways
To live right
X. Enjoy the Earth
And all around it
And leave it better
Than you found it
