March Mudness

March Madness is March Mudness here
But everybody knows
That this is just the time of year
Preceding pollen woes

It’s also when we set our clocks
And have a vernal equinox
Which means that day time equals night
So every evening’s looking bright

Much longer days, more time outside
Thanks to the early dawns
We’re told to all beware of ides
And look for leprechauns

Now we’re in spring, the birdies sing
In Mother Nature’s splendor
The sky is bright and all is right
Except for one offender

I speak of toys they call Lawn Boys
Pushed by the green grass growers
May I request, they reinvest
In new electric mowers?
