Ode to Spring

Spring is springing
Flowers blooming
Winter clinging
Sunshine looming

April showers
May flowers
Nature’s powers
Sunlight hours

All creation
Ripening seeds
Pollen nation
Brand new weeds

No matter what
Naysayers say
It’s been six weeks
Since Groundhog’s Day
Time to go
Outside and play

As for me
A different mode
Tranquility
Inspired this ode
