It is said that a child
Is the father of the man
Ah, but what if the child
Doesn’t follow such a plan?
Then the kid that results
Thinks the world owes to him
Everything he desires
Every bauble, every whim
And the world, if it yields
To this selfish adolescent
Gets itself into the place
Where we find ourselves at present
