The time has come to vocalize
A question in my mind
That I have been wondering about
For a very long time
We make laws to protect youngsters
With traffic laws and such
It’s the least that we can do because
We love them all so much
But why then do we train them to
Bang their heads insane
When going out and playing
Football games?
The consequence of this impact
Is worthy of discussion
There’s not a perfect helmet
To protect one from a concussion
A hundred twenty autumns now
The story, still the same
Another group of gladiators
Injured in a game
We love the sport, the cheerleaders
The tailgaters in the fall
But none of it is worth it
If players can’t recall
