So now the past
Is what it focuses on
There are very few things for it to do
Mark up maybe a thing or two
It once came in a number of types
Ticonderogas got lots of hype
Mechanical ones and sharpeners too
Plus erasers – there are quite a few
But its glory’s been lost and it’s left to grapple
With never commanding 100 bucks
Unless it’s from Apple
