(nerdy science verse)
Bases, sugars, phosphate bonds
Double helix, on and on
Need to jumpstart DNAs?
Get the enzyme called primase
When it comes to leading strands
Polymerase III is in command
The cells employ a beta clamp
So polymerase III will not decamp
And there is DNA Pol I
To help the lagging strand get done
Sending strands their separate ways
Is the enzyme helicase
Protecting single strands with ease
Are a bunch of SSBs
Unwinding strands may strain the links
But gyrase helps prevent the kinks
And at the end, the job is done
When ligase makes the pieces one
