Emotional Sunscreen

I got some emotional sunscreen
SPF 100+
To shield me from feeling anything
No muss, no fuss, no cuss

I slathered it on before a date
And it worked, I quickly learned
So although she blabbed about her ex
I didn’t get at all burned

My boss can scream at me all day
But this stuff is a treasure
Because I do not feel a thing
And there’s no change in blood pressure

I have to use it judiciously, though
Because it is so strong
I wore it to a sunset once
But the feeling was all wrong
