A tiny sparrow
Built a nest
Hoping it
Would have a guest

A guest, indeed
Within the house
Appeared one day
A tiny mouse

The tiny mouse
At once decreed
“I need to have”
“A bit of feed”

The sparrow host
True to form
Gave the mouse
A gooey worm

The mouse declared
“What is this crap?”
And so the sparrow
Set a trap
