Irises

Color midst the foliage green
Lavender with gold between
Hiding ‘neath the budding trees
Dancing in the springtime breeze

Refreshing on a sunny day
Painting landscapes wall to wall
Gently in the wind they sway
Purplish crowns on flowers tall

Tiny ones and grand ones too
Blooms in many sizes
Reminders that the earth renews
Gifts from heaven, irises
