Life, Birth

An infant baby rooster
Inside a tiny egg
Was not so very happy
“Let me out of here,” he begged

Alas, no one would help him
Not even mother hen
So he began to try to break
The shell that held him in

At last, he got his freedom
Escaping from the shell
In doing so he too acquired
A lesson here to tell

“Sometimes life isn’t easy”
“Sometimes you want to bawl”
“Sometimes you have to go and beat”
“Your head against the wall”
