(based on a true story)
I saw someone in a shirt that said
“Definitely Not a Cop”
And after that I shook my head
Having a chance to think and stop
I asked him if he might possess
Something to prove he was not the police
He pointed to his shirt to stress
But his answer my fears increased
When he inquired why that was so
I replied, “From me to you”
“This is the sort of thing, you know”
“An undercover cop would do”
So he took off his shirt and threw it away
And I wonder “Cop or not?” to this very day
