Telephones once had a cord
Which now is non-existent
Replaced by something much adored
A personal digital assistant
Which has a phone book in its head
A camera too for viewing
It knows of every word you’ve said
Whether kind or evil doing
Pix and movies it saves with ease
Keeps calendars up to date
It finds a restaurant, if you please
And pays bills, so they’re not late
A corded phone could work for me
I really wouldn’t mind it
In fact, my argument would be
I’d know right where to find it
