At our hotel, I notice that
I’m starting to smell most sour
So I undress and step in
The tub to take a shower
A bar of soap cannot be found
“We don’t inflict that on you”
Instead there’s bottles for pumping
Mulberry and jasmine goo
Which I smear very liberally
To every crevice and crack
Along my arms and face and neck
Then even down my back
I exit with the smell of fruit
But the lingering scent I mind
If rinsing did not remove it
Was dirt also left behind?
