For travel on
The road of life
Jake went out
And found a wife
He kissed his bride
To seal their bliss,
Not knowing how
The path would twist
In marriage they
Combined two lives
Their dreams, their debts,
The forks and knives
While tackling chores
And sharing rent,
They hit big potholes
To their lament
The highway turned from bad to worse
Then suddenly came to a halt
And each one did the other curse
Though knowing it was
Their own asphalt
