The Stock Market

The stock market’s a thing
That goes up and down
Causing some to smile
And some to frown

I don’t understand it
But they say if I did
I’d buy before rise
And sell before skid

Is that good or bad?
I suppose it depends
On whether the means
Justify the dividends
