An Audience of Each Other

Modern poets write gibberish
that only other modern poets
can claim to understand,
if they do at all
If your delicate pelican on the willow
with speckled throbs of amber
walks silently on the moonlit porch,
dabbling.
giggling,
babbling at the wind

Who gives a shit?
