In a Name

The place I work is quirky
The people, more of the same
And that is why each one of them
Has got a unique nickname

One guy you always find on a break
In his favorite habitat
He has the name of Eddie,
But they call him KitKat

Next up, there is a dimwit
About whom everyone talks
He’s mostly known as Butter Knife –
Not the sharpest blade in the box

Butter Knife has a buddy
Whose thinking also suffers
They call him Lantern, he’s not bright
And must be carried by others

E.T. is a lonely guy
Who down the halls will roam
Always looking at the clock
Ready to GO HOME

And then there’s the one called Motion Light
I’ve saved him for the last
The only work he ever does
Is when the boss goes past
