When Rosa Parks made such a fuss
She had no problem with the bus

And Gandhi wasn’t being rude
Complaining loud about his food

The football players taking knees
Are not the anthem’s enemies

So for each protest take to heart
Examine deeper, peel apart

Avoid the knee-jerk demagogic
And then you’ll understand the logic
