Street Talk

With no address, no bank
You can’t handle pay
So begging for money’s
The only way

Sleeping on the street
Very quickly gets old
There’s the summertime heat
And worse when it’s cold

Alcohol, drugs
Problems with meth
Mental illness and anger
Nearness to death

Though rent’s going up
People pay it, I guess
Cuz the price is much higher
To be homeless
