A Trendancy

The mantra of social media,
“Keep it going”
is wrong
We should “stop it right now”

Because, perhaps
by leaving one trend
dead in its tracks,
We might catalyze a movement
that would stop similar, stupid trends
from ever getting started

And then, without trends to follow
people would be themselves
and the world would go back to the way it was
before everything went crazy
