My Sweet Tooth

My teeth are mostly quiet
Hardly ever saying a word
I sometimes wonder why it
Is that way. Absurd

There’s one exception to the rule
And I’m telling you the truth
It’s a very loud one in the back
That’s known as my sweet tooth

My sweet tooth talks to me all day
Suggesting that I eat
An ice cream cone or large parfait
Or waffles if they’re sweet

It wants a Snickers or Baby Ruth
Talk talking all the time
To tell the truth. I wish that tooth
Would turn into a mime
