The Clam

Sittin’ on the bottom of the ocean
With a mouth, a stomach and a foot
A clam is made of things
That only matter to it

An interesting means of movement
Is shown by this bivalve
Swirling in perfect circles
It’s said to just revalve

If people acted like the clam
They’d speak when they know what’s what
But other times sit on their butts
With clam traps tightly shut

And last, the clam’s content, it seems
Of worries, it has none
Each person truly should aspire
To be as happy as one
